All Cattle at Open Range Beef are harvested under the direct supervision of on-site USDA Certifiers- USDA on-line inspector and a USDA Veterinarian.
Certified Organic
(Vegetarian cattle who enjoy grain and corn)
- No antibiotic use
- No growth hormones
- No use of feed containing mammalian protein or fat
- Animals must be raised under USDA Certified Organic Management from the last thirst gestation to harvest
- Animals eat certifiably 100% organic feed and organic certified pastures-may include corn and grains
- Animals must have access to outdoor pasture
- 30% of daily intake for each animal must come from standing forages
- Source and Management Organic Affidavit Required form Cattle Producer for each Animal harvested
Certified Organic Grass Fed
(Vegetarian Cattle)
- No antibiotic use
- No growth hormones
- No use of feed containig mamalian protein or fat
- Animals must be raised under USDA Certified Organic Management from the last thirst gestation to harvest
- Animals from birth to harvest have been fed 100% Organic Certified Grass, legumes and forages
- 30% of daily intake for each animal must come from standing forages
- Source and Management Organic Grass Fed Affidavit Required form Cattle Producer for each Animal harvested
Natural Grass Fed
(Vegetarian Cattle)
- No antibiotic use (known as "never ever" program)
- No growth hormones
- No use of feed containing mammalian protein or fat
- Animals from birth to harvest have been fed Grass, legumes and forages
- No Grain fed Animals
